Career Path

Every great career begins with a first step, and mine began soon after I completed the National Certificate in Engineering Craft Practice (NCECP) in the field of Electronics. That foundational education gave me not only technical knowledge but also the confidence to pursue my passion for machinery and systems.

🔧 Starting Out: Milton Motors Pvt Ltd

My first professional role was at Milton Motors Private Limited, where I stepped into the real world of industrial maintenance and engineering. During my time there, I was entrusted with a range of responsibilities that helped shape me into the well-rounded technician I am today:

  1. Performed routine and preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.

  2. Planned, supervised, and executed installations of new machinery and systems.

  3. Authored comprehensive operation manuals for operator training and safety protocols.

  4. Upgraded facilities to meet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.

  5. Analyzed equipment capacity and performance, proposing practical improvements.

  6. Introduced alternative equipment for process optimization and cost efficiency.

These responsibilities helped me sharpen both my technical and problem-solving skills. I developed a strong understanding of how theory meets practice and how to deliver sustainable, safe, and efficient engineering solutions.

🚀 Entrepreneurship: Auto Industry Lanka Holdings (Pvt) Ltd

With a growing passion and deeper knowledge of machines, I took a bold leap and launched my own business—Auto Industry Lanka Holdings (Pvt) Ltd. I channeled my dedication, creativity, and hard work into building a company that specialized in:

  • Repairing industrial machinery

  • Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design

  • Consultancy services related to industrial automation and machine systems

Within a year, I turned this venture into a highly profitable business, proving my capability as not just a technician, but also as an entrepreneur. Unfortunately, due to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka and the challenge of sourcing quality parts, I had to temporarily stop operations. However, the entrepreneurial spirit still lives within me, and I remain eager to relaunch it when the right opportunity arises.

🌏 Expanding Horizons: Malaysia & International Experience

Seeking greater stability and global exposure, I migrated to Malaysia, where I currently work as a Maintenance Engineer at KS Kim Sui Engineering Sdn. Bhd. This role has allowed me to apply my skills in a new environment, adapt to different systems, and further enhance my international engineering experience.

🔩 Looking Back with Pride

Today, I proudly carry over 9 years of hands-on experience in the fields of electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineering. From preventive maintenance to industrial automation, from business ownership to international projects—my journey has been one of learning, adaptation, and growth. And it’s far from over.
